About Mrs. Rossell
This is my 25th year teaching at Peter Muschal School!
I started my teaching career in 1st grade and my favorite part was teaching students to read. I moved to 3rd grade several years later and loved working on comprehension with the older students. While on maternity leave with my daughter I went back to graduate school to get my masters and become certified as a reading specialist. It was when I returned to PMES that I took on the role of reading specialist. I LOVE teaching students to become strong readers.
I love my family!
I have been married for 21 years. My husband and I have 2 children. My son, Tyler, is 15 and is in 10th grade at Bordentown Regional High School. My daughter, Laney, is 13 and is in 8th grade at Bordentown Regional School District.
I love reading!
I love reading with my students, to my students and with my own children. As a mom and a teacher it is hard to find time to read on my own these days. When I do; I love to sit outside and dive into a good book. I can spend hours with my head in a book, picturing all that the characters do and say. My children and I can spend hours in a library or book store trying to decide what we will read next. My hope is that I instill my love of reading in my students.
I love Traveling!
One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love experiencing and learning about the various cultures around the world. My husband and I have been to Australia, Canada, Mexico, Alaska and all over Europe. With 2 young children we also frequent Disney World and the beach. Our family also spends a lot of time in and around New York City. Family time traveling is a definite favorite.
I love Photography!
I love taking pictures! I have been taking some courses online in order to improve my skills. I used to scrapbook but with our busy schedules I now make memory books online. I have many friends who are photographers and I love when they take pictures of my children. I use them to create keepsakes for our family.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with lots of fun learning opportunities! Let's have an amazing year!
