Counseling Page

Welcome to the Peter Muschal School Counseling Website!

My name is Meg Perrine and I am the school counselor at PMES. This is my 16th year as a Bordentown school counselor. I look forward to this new adventure working with a whole school of kindergarten and 1st graders.

At PMES I provide short-term, solution focused counseling to support students' social, emotional and academic success. These brief sessions help students develop skills to manage challenges, build positive relationships, and succeed in the classroom. Because our school counseling program is designed to support students within the school setting, I am not able to provide ongoing or intensive therapy. If a student’s needs go beyond what can be addressed through brief counseling, I will work together with families to connect them to outside community resources for additional support.

Some of the specific ways I support students are listed below:

  • Classroom guidance lessons
  • Individual counseling
  • Small group counseling
  • General support counseling groups during lunch time (Lunch bunch)
  • Conflict resolution

In addition I am the anti-bullying specialist, I&RS coordinator and the 504 coordinator.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. We look forward to working with our fabulous Peter Muschal students and families.
