Welcome to Basic Skills Reading!

I have truly enjoyed working with the children this school year and watching them learn and grow.  Over the summer, please be sure you are reading with your child a little each day.  The children should be allowed to choose the books that interest them.  Picture books, chapter books, even comics are a great way to keep your child engaged in reading.  Over the summer, children need to realize that reading should be fun and not so much work.  Let your child see you reading and even choose a book to read together.  Don't forget to visit the Bordentown library.  If you are interested in visiting a bookstore Barnes and Noble has a great way for your child to earn a free book this summer.  I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer.  Don't forget to read!

Tell us which part of the book is your favorite, and why.
2. Bring your completed journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 16th and September 5th, 2017.
3. Choose your FREE reading adventure from the book list featured on the back of the journal.
