Birthday Celebrations

Birthdays are special days!  We will be celebrating birthdays without food treats and ask parents to please refrain from sending cupcakes or birthday snacks to school.  Your child’s birthday will be celebrated during Morning Meeting with the “Happy Birthday” song.  The birthday child will receive a goody bag, birthday certificate, birthday crown, and special privileges for the day.  Summer birthdays may be celebrated at the end of the school year.  A calendar for summer birthdays will go out later on in the school year. 

If you would like to help contribute to your child’s birthday without bringing in food below is a list of ways:

Be a Birthday Reader: You and any other family member are always invited to come in to our class to read a story of your choice with your one and only birthday boy/girl! 

Goody Bags (without food): Feel free to send your child in with a goody bag for each child of the class including different activities or toys. 

Birthday Craft: A family member is more than welcome to share a craft with the class to do together!

~Please try to contact me a week before your child’s birthday, if you choose to visit our class for your child’s birthday.  We can then make arrangements for you to come in.

**Invitations to outside birthday parties cannot be distributed through school unless the entire class or one gender from the class is invited.
