Classroon News

Dear Parents,

We're disappointed to see there are six more weeks of winter but the year is certainly flying by.  In writing students are learning "how to write like a scientist"  We are writing lab reports beginning with a questions, writing a hypothesis, conducting an experiment and the writing the procedure and conclusion.    In reading, we have begun Non-fiction books and learning about the different features it has and strategies to use to help us become better readers.  In math we will continue to focus on time, money and place value.

Science is underway and the students are really enjoying switching classes and working with Mrs. Kenna.   They are learning about Solids and Liquids.

Our hundred day of school is on February 14.  If your child would like to participate we are wearing t-shirts with 100 items.  This is completely voluntary and should be made at home and worn on that day.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.  I can be reached at school during the day at 298-2600 ext. 4135 or you can e-mail me cvandegrift@bordentown.k12.nj.us.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Vandegrift
