Our year is heading to an end and wow did it fly by. Miss Ryan's last day will be Friday, May 5. She has been such an important part of our classroom learning over the past couple of months are we are all sad to see her go. Tuesday, May 2 we are finally going on our field trip to Bordentown Library.
In Reading, we are finishing a unit of "Series" Reading. The students are noticing patterns of characters and similarities and differences across the series. Our next unit focuses on making connections, predictions and imagery. In writing, we are "Writing Like a Scientist." We will be making a catapult and launching cotton balls verse ping pong balls. Which will go further?
We are finishing up unit 8in Math on 3 dimensional shapes and and continuing to concentrate on double digit addition and subtraction with regrouping. Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts at home to keep them fresh.
It is important that you check your child's Red Folders each night for important information and homework assignments.
